You might recall us talking about the Toyota Corolla in June when we were discussing the exciting details of the 2014 Toyota Corolla debut. We're doing our best to stay patient when it arrives here at DCH Toyota of Torrance, and in the meantime, we have more Corolla news to share with you, although this time, it's from across the globe.
Last year, 20 percent of vehicles sold in Japan were hybrid vehicles. So, wouldn't it make sense to add the Corolla into the way of the future? The hybrid model was unveiled in Tokyo on Aug. 6, and we imagine it will be nothing short of a hit for the country. The Corolla is part of a plan to have 21 hybrid models over three years by the end of 2015.
We do have to say that, for now, there are no plans for the Corolla hybrid to make its way here to the United States, or any other country for that matter. The gas-powered Corolla is well-received here in the states, and--considering 80 percent of Corollas sold over the past 20 years are still on the road based on a 2012 Polk study--the Corolla is likely here to stay, so we're hoping it's just a matter of time.
But you know what's even better than talking about what the Corolla offers? Driving one. Take one out for a test drive when you visit our showroom in Torrance, CA. Stop in when you have the time, and we'd be more than happy to assist you!
