There seems to be a never-ending discussion about our ever-popular Toyota Prius. Since its conception in 2003, there's always something new to talk about with each year. This time, we're here to talk about a design we won't see for a little while but that we are excited to receive here in Torrance, CA at one point; we're talking about the next generation 2015 Toyota Prius.

It appears the half-moon shape of the Prius will remain the same from the looks of the spy shots of the car in California--that's one thing the heavy matting couldn't cover up. That's curious. We thought that the shape might be an inspiration of the 2013 NS4 Concept, but nothing is set in stone. The matting did, however, conceal the finer details which we will find out one way or another soon enough.

We anticipate the interior will offer sweet perks such as a stylish three-spoke steering wheel and an instrument panel design (perhaps like a BMW). Something tells us this is not near the final product, though. We will just wait and see.

Rumor has it that it will likely be an update of the current electric system and engine but with the nickel metal hydride batteries of today's Prius. Additionally, the newcomer could be produced right here in the U.S. at the production plant in Tupelo, MS.

Rest assured, when DCH Toyota of Torrance gets the next-generation Prius, we will let you know! If you've been thinking of investing in our current models in the showroom, visit us during our regular business hours and we'll show you around.
