Toyota USA's President and Chief Executive Jim Lentz, explains that the hydrogen-powered consumer car will also come alongside full-electric, plug-in hybrid, and hybrid model options. He confirmed that the company would build the new vehicle in the next few years while speaking at the recent 2012 Centre for Automotive Research.
So, what's so great about hydrogen power? Hydrogen power seems to be the most likely technology to replace the traditional combustion engine successfully due to the fact that hydrogen-powered vehicles have the ability to charge much faster than all-electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles. The new hydrogen Honda, for example, boasts a charge time of only five minutes.
