Toyota is showing off their upcoming models out in the fun land of Las Vegas. They hope to rally US dealers and gave its American consumers and fans an advanced look of the new Camry, FT-86, Prius, and teases of the new Prius minivan.
There were no huge info leaks from the Las Vegas dealer conference this year, but Automotive News reports "the mood among attendees was generally upbeat, despite a rough year focused on high-profile recalls."
More than 1000 dealers headed to Mandalay Bay casino and hotel, where Toyota chief Akio Toyoda assured his followers that new products are on their way, on schedule to be released over the next 18 months.
Toyota has teased the upcoming Prius minivan recently via their Facebook page. Dubbed The Alpha, it's hidden behind the current Prius in a teaser, and appears to have longer overhangs and a higher rear roofline for added interior volume.
The hybrid minivan will be the first Prius lineup expansion effort, launching ahead of the Prius plug-in variant and two other models, a smaller and larger vehicle, due out in 2013. Also according to Auto News, the larger Prius is designated the Prius-V and the more compact version Prius-C.
