Becoming a new Toyota owner just got a little nicer. Not only are you getting yourself one of the most reliable cars built in the world but now the Japanese auto maker is offering two years of free maintenance for new buyers.
This is the first time that any mass-market auto maker has offered over a year of free repairs to their customers.
The offer includes normal factory-scheduled maintenance, (oil changes, tire rotation, etc.) as well as 24-hour roadside assistance for two years or 25,000 miles, whichever comes first.
Toyota is now making the maintenance plan a permanent offer. The plan was "developed to help improve overall cost of ownership and provide invaluable peace of mind for our customers," said Bob Carter, Toyota Division group vice president and general manager.
Analysts said this was a smart move because it offers low-cost ways to attract buyers that, unlike a cash offer (which can cheapen the brand's image) enhances an automaker's allure by giving it perks of a luxury nameplate.
The move also demonstrates how prominent import brands such as Toyota are having to increase perks and incentives to fight stagnating sales, while domestic car brands are spending less on incentives as their sales rise.
Take advantage of this free maintenance offer now at DCH Toyota of Torrance - 2955 Pacific Coast Highway - Torrance, CA 90505.
